At Women on Weights®, we believe that women belong in the weight room! We help women build strength, confidence and beautiful lean, sculpted bodies, every day. Our program is like no other, it can be done anytime, from anywhere with a strong focus on proper form, core building and highly effective moves that maximize results. Pain free performance warm ups and exercises are at the core of our program, ensuring we are working out properly to avoid future injuries and help heal existing ones.
Meet the Coach
Coach Lori Castellini has been in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years and specifically coaching women for over a decade with her Women on Weights® program and has seen remarkable results! She is a Pain Free Performance certified instructor meaning she not only knows how to lift weights effectively, she optimizes her client’s fitness and performance around the common presence of pain, dysfunction and injuries.

I started working virtually with Lori over 3 years ago. It started small with some of the free challenges that she offered. I then decided it was time to go big or go home. When Covid caused the gyms to shut down Lori was a blessing in disguise. She taught me that anything is possible and to not be afraid to step out of my comfort zone. Thank you, Lori, for helping me and inspiring me to continue my strength training journey. After covid and an accumulation of knee and back injuries from 20 years of playing soccer and other sports, I had just about given up on getting strength back and back to my fitness level. I had done a challenge with Lori during covid and started again with a 30-day leg and core challenge. I kept with this last one consistently. I followed all the habit changes and the exercises consistently. I lost 4.5 inches within 30 days. I am now working with Lori on her monthly full body workouts and habit trackers, and I have lost another 5 inches in just under 30 days. I am a full-time teacher, mom of 2 boys, and 2 dogs. I find time to fit it in every day. It's under an hour for the exercises, and the habits are easy changes. I look forward to the exercises because the beginning is calming, stretching, and refocusing on me and my body. The routine ends with calming stretching, too. I never thought at 44 I would be back to feeling this good! I sleep well and have tons of energy!”

I was in a head-on collision and had multiple injuries, including a compound femur fracture (bones were completely out of the skin), T-12/L1 burst fracture that came within a mm. of severing the spinal cord (same thing Christopher Reeves had), herniated disks in the neck and back, multiple fractured ribs, fractured sternum, fractured knee, stress fractures in both feet, nerve damage in leg and both arms, bruised lungs, etc., and I had to have several surgeries. A year later, I was diagnosed with Lupus/Rheumatoid Arthritis. I went to physical therapy several times for all of my pain issues.
To say I was a weenie when I started weight training with Lori is an understatement. I had tried so many different kinds of treatment and therapies, Pilates, etc. with only minimal relief. I could not lift 5 lbs. Now it feels like nothing to lift 5 lb. weights. After three months of WOW classes, I have reached the following milestones:
1. I can now get up and down from seated position without difficulty. I could not do this when I started WOW.
2. I can now get up and down from lying down position. I had to have help getting up and down when I started.
3. I walked six miles at the North Pole a week ago. When I started WOW, I could only stand up for ten minutes at a time. It took me a long time to cook a meal!
4. A few days ago, I noticed I was able to get in and out of the car without moving my seat all of the way back. My knees are bending so much better. (I was told I need knee replacements, but I felt the problem may be due to the very tight muscles in my legs.)
5. I can now open a bottle of water. I could not do this when I started.

I have found myself again, lifting weights! I am always trying to workout and eat healthy, its my never ending battle. 3 years ago I lost 70 pounds doing Orange Theory and this is also how I met Lori. All of a sudden 6 HIIT workouts a week were getting very hard on my body and I was experiencing many injuries. I also came to the realization I was 52 and in menopause. Lori stuck with me and let me do my madness of too many workouts. She recently gave me a book about menopausal women and how so many things are changing in our body. I listened to Lori and I listened to my body. In the last 8 weeks I have released 15 inches off my body. This is what I am doing. I am dedicated to hitting the weights 3 days a week with Lori. I get to do this with my daughter Julia and this is an added blessing!
Lori makes up some of the best workouts that challenge me. I am getting stronger then I was in my 30s and 40s. I still go to OT two days a week and I am walking as much as I can. I am seeing muscles again that I have not seen since my 20s. It was very hard to change my mindset of more weights and less HIIT workouts, but its working for me. I am losing but also changing the shape of my body. Jeans are fitting again! Most importantly, I feel strong and empowered. This body will grow older, but so much stronger. W.O.W. has been one of the best things to happen for me. Lori Castellini is my coach, my "therapist" and my friend!!!
